Remove Blackberry Protect App

How do I remove the Blackberry Protect App from my Blackberry Bold 9650?  I installed it but haven't set it up yet, but have a problem with the battery running down.

I'm trying to find what is running the battery down.  I've removed most of the other apps I've installed except I can't figure out how to get rid of this one.

Please use plain text.

Re: Remove Blackberry Protect App

1) got to appworld, then in My World. Find BB Protect
2) hover on it, open menu, and uninstall it (not archive !)
3) go to application management (use the universal search if need be), and look everywhere if you see BB Protect. If you do, hover on it and delete it once more.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Well, perhaps exactly as described in the post just above yours? Or perhaps via this?

  • KB10040 How to view or remove installed applications on a BlackBerry smartphone

Good luck!

Hello,

I'm  a bit confused by your post...is that, in your mind, a good thing or a bad thing? Since BBProtect facilitates such actions, removing it (which is the topic of this thread) would quite naturally eliminate the ability to track it via BBProtect.

Since I surmise that your BB was stolen, I refer you to this:

Good luck!
