Hi all, we run a website called flightsite.com and are debating whether or not to make an ap for BB or to rather spend the money building a mobi site. Given the same target market e.g. 500k BB users, do you think they would prefer to access a mobi site or to download a BB ap? And when updating the ap with newer versions how easy will it be for consumers to update?
Lastly - does anyone know a BB app developer who specialises in Travel?

thanks, thats useful feedback - so a mobi site is money better spent than making an app it would seem?

it depends.... a mobile website has less candy features.
people usually prefer the "Facebook application for BlackBerry", because they think it's better, but in fact it has much less features than the mobile website https://m.facebook.com/ .
Truth is, developping an application or BlackBerry enable you to have great features : email integrations, led & sound notifications, access to the memory and the addressbook, to the GPS and so on.
all those can't be done with a mobile website.
you can also compare the "GMail for BlackBerry" application, which is nice but lacks many features compared to https://mail.google.com/ (browsed with BlackBerry Browser).
