I would like to help in this same problem,I also downloaded exactly the same issue of App World but when I open it it goes to browse and I must downloading again.I'm tired of this,please help!!

Same problem here with BlackBerry Balance IT Policy.

RIM should give us a comment and probably a hint when they fixed that!

Hi,

I opened a support-case with RIM and got a link to this KB-article which was written only a few days ago:

Put in another way - the problem we're experiencing here seems to be a bug.

Unfortunately it doesn't mention a time-to-fix. :-(

Hi, Several hours ago I got an announcement via Twitter (@Blackberry_new) , that RIM released an update to Appworld. The new Version is 4.0.0.63. Downloaded it today by going to appworld.blackberry.com doing an OTA-install and after a reboot the "Uncaught exception..." error was gone and the Appworld-icon was back - while still having the "Balance policy" active via the BES. So at least from what I've seen this new version does seem to cure the problem. Can anybody else confirm this?

Confirmed 4.0.0.63 seems to have resolved the issue with AppWorld/Balance.

This Version 4.0.0.63 seems to resolve the issue only when 4.0.0.55 is installed and failes. The AW works now for me. But I have two colleagues who directly upgraded from 3.x to 4.0.0.63 and have the issue now.

RIMs KB article does not give a solution yet. So we should wait for public news from RIM.

 

Edit: These colleagues have 6.0.0.668, BOLD 9780. I have torch 9800, 6.0.0.668.
