Re: app world can not be accessed

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

You answered your own question...you said the icon is in your Application Folder...so that's where it is. Or do you mean something else? If so, please clarify (and please please please try to use some punctuation!!).

Thanks and let us know!

Re: app world can not be accessed

So, I am guessing that you mean this:

  • KB10040 How to view or remove installed applications on a BlackBerry smartphone

If AW is there, then it's installed. It's normally a matter of finding the icon. Look everywhere...Homescreen and all sub-folders (e.g., Downloads, Applications, etc.). Also make sure that "Show All" is active just in case the icon is hidden. Also make sure you are not running some theme that might be blocking the icon.

In addition, you can try this sequence:

1) Remove AppWorld from your BB

  • KB10040 How to view or remove installed applications on a BlackBerry smartphone
  • If it requests that you reboot the BB, do so

2) Do a Batt-Pull reboot (power on, remove battery, wait, insert battery, wait), even if redundant to the one you did in step 1.

3) Install (on your BB) a fresh copy of AppWorld

4) Do another Batt-Pull reboot

5) See if it now works.

Cheers!

Re: app world can not be accessed

Ummm...sorry, another very long sentence there that actually should have punctuation to enable good communication with the recipient. I think I understand you, but I'm never quite sure whenever I have to parse out the words when punctuation skills have been ignored.

Try this KB:

  • KB29422 BlackBerry App World icon is missing after upgrading to BlackBerry App World 4.0.0.63 to 4.0.0.65

Good luck.
