blackberry ID update, slow internet, can't download

Okay, I'm sure everyone is well acquainted with these problems by now.

App World wants me to download a blackberry ID ... Well guess what App World??? You screwed me and I can't :-|

My internet speed is slower than sending a letter through the South African postal service. It should be around 30kb/s BUT it is a staggering 523 bytes per second.. *enters imminent 'download failed'*

And it doesn't just fail for big files but also for tiny 500kb files as well :-/

So.... What is wrong with this Lackberry? ...I call my phone that - Lackberry... It's my little pet name for it :-|

Tried every trick in the (service) book... So maybe somebody knows a better trick?

Re: blackberry ID update, slow internet, can't download

Hey ravemot1,

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

Thanks for the question.

The downloading speed is controlled by your network service provider.  Have you tried downloading the BlackBerry® ID by connecting to Wi-Fi®?

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Cheers.
