error code 3300 - quicklaunch wont work & cant buy it again using paypal

Hi, I updated my blackberry os and lost a paid app Quicklaunch (was asking for code). I contacted qiucklaunch support and as provided with these instructions to use the programi paid for:

 



What you have to do is the following:
1) uninstall QuickLaunch and ALL App world paid apps you have on your phone.
2) uninstall App World
3) pull the battery
4) install the latest App World Client
5) go to My World
6) login to My World with your paypal email you used when purchasing
7) after your apps have been reconciled the activation code will be displayed on the right under the file size. it's 4 or 5 digits

Also, if you have used the QL Backup function the activation code is store in the backup file 'QL_Backup.txt'.I uninstalled appworld and reinstalled, then tried to reinstall quicklaunch but it asked me to buy it.


So, first problem is I would expect to not to have to pay for it again.

Second, is I tried to but the program again by got error code 3300 and said to contact you.  Please assist me in getting quicklaunch back on my phone, thanks! 

 

 

  • Your Carrier - At&t
  • Your BlackBerry Model - pearl 8100
  • Your BlackBerry OS (Can be found in Options -> About)   v4.5.0.110
  • Version of App World (Can be found by going into Options -> Advanced ->Applications) 1.1.0.11
  • If you have BIS or BES (Personal Use or Corporate Use) -BES

hi thanks.  the company is nikkisoft.  the version i am trying to purchase is the latest version that is available on the appworld store.

Hi,

The reason I ask, is the error code 3300 is associated with opening a PC browser toolbar in Win 2k.

I am using QuickLaunch v2.10 for the Storm and have not had the error.

 

The Nikisoft doc does not show this either. QuickLaunch user manual and support

Can you contact them while I research the error message?

Hi, error code 3300 - contact blackberry app world support - message pops up when i try to purchase the application thorugh appworld after entering in paypal credentials and clikcing purchase.  if you search these forums you will see error code 3300 is very much indeed an error code others have seen within their blackberry.

 

in my original post i pasted in the response from nikkisoft.

HI there!

There have been some issues with the AppWorld services lately...most are reported to be cleared up. Please try again. Also, please try removing and re-installing AppWorld...some have reported that to be helpful. In addition...RIM has released AppWorld version 1.1.0.15...it is highly recommended to be on that version.

Also please try a hard reset: With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

In addition, you can try this sequence:

1) Remove AppWorld from your BB (Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Applications) -- if it requests that you reboot the BB, do so.

2) Do a Batt-Pull reboot as described above.

3) Get a new link and install a fresh copy of AppWorld

  • Again, if it requests to reboot, do so.

4) Do another Batt-Pull reboot

5) See if it now works.

You have received the 3300 error recently, please go ahead and attempt to download or purchase/download the app. Please let us know if anything has changed.
