error with windows live messenger

I tried to update msn messenger yesterday! and since then msn has gone from my phone and in My world the app just says starting download! but has been doing that for 24hrs. Ive had no problems downloading anything else. I cant do anything with it either!!! like start again or go back ....Thanks for any help...

Try this -

When you device is POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery. This make a reboot to your device which minor issues with the BlackBerry device.

After performing about try downloading the Windows Live Messenger again.

On my blackberry curve 8520, If I attempt to sign into Windows Live Messenger, the sign In page says It's connecting but It wont log me in. My Mobile provider is Virgin Media.

Hello lilpodigepie,

I think you can try two things : the soft reboot, and if it does not work, the hard reboot. Don't worry, you can't lose data with these two reboots.

Soft reboot :
1) Hit the three following keys at the same time :
- Alt
- Right Shift
- Delete
2) wait 2 minutes for the Blackberry to wake up.


Hard reboot :
1) your Blackberry device is on
2) remove the battery and wait for a minute
3) Put the battery back
4) wait 5 minutes for the device to wake up.
