AppWorld works with the cellular network, the same one as the one required for you to make phone calls. AppWorld with Wi-Fi only won't work.

email and internet and BBm are included in your data plan. So it's free.
BBm is a messenging system that allows you to send test/pictures to other people using BBm all around the world for free.

There is a radio antenna available on the following models :
Curve 9360 / 9310 / 9315 and certainly more recent ones.
(and yes, the antenna needs to be extended by a cord headphones, it will not work with Bluetooth headphones)

you can install the TuneIn app on your 8520. In the app, by choosing your country and region you should be able to listen to the SABC radio stations.
