plz i need help my blackberry app world disappeared when i updated it to the newer version. when i googled for a solution they said that an email was sent from blackberry baut i didnt recived that email. i tried deleting it and downloading it again but it didnt work. i even tried to downgrade but nothing worked.

can u please help?

Welcome to the BB Community...

Lets first try to find ur BB App World on ur BB...follow the steps:

1. On your homescreen, press the Menu key > SHOW ALL, so that SHOW ALL is checked.
2. Look in EACH folder on your device... Applications, Instant Messengers, Downloads, etc.

See if ur can find ur BB App World...

If u cant find ur BB App World from the last given process, then let's first make sure it's completely gone from your phone then we'll see about getting it reinstalled.

From your homescreen go to Options>Device>Application Management and look for BB App World. If it's listed in the list, highlight it with your cursor, press the menu key and select Delete. Now that we're sure it's gone, remove your battery while your phone is powered on then replace it.

Your next step is to go to http://us.blackberry.com/apps/app-world/download.html from your PC/Laptop browser and download it again from there.

i did try as u suggested but nothing happened more than once. i also tried the process offered by how to reload ur os but it also didnt work. what other solution can be offered?

I'm not sure what you've tried to do, since you didn't specify.

Try this:

Resolution 1

On BlackBerry 6 OS versions prior to 6.0.0.706 and the App World Icon is not visible, please download and install the BlackBerry App World 4.0.0.55.

1. Open the BlackBerry Browser on the BlackBerry smartphone.
2. Browse to http://mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/entry.do?code=appworld3
3. After download, please restart your BlackBerry smartphone when prompted.
4. Verify that BlackBerry App World is located on the home screen.
