With more detail:
am unable to get ANY apps to download.
My phone is a Blackberry Curve 8520
My OS was upgraded about 1 week ago, but BlackBerry App World was not installed until today.
When I first tried to download an app, I was prompted for my Blackberry Login and Password. I clicked on the link to create an account, and did so successfully.
So far, I have ONLY tried to download Apps that are marked as "FREE" and so far, every single App that I've tried to download is reporting "__APP NAME__" is not available for download from BlackBerry App World."
This happens with EVERY SINGLE APP that I've attempted to download.
Does anybody know what would cause this problem? Any suggestions?

I'm having the same issue. At first I was getting the error that I needed to check my network connections to even get into App World. I deleted App World and downloaded it again, set-up a new BB Login ID. When I tried to download a few different apps, it states they are not avail. for DL from BB App World. I never had any issues w/ App World until this new update...I don't understand.

I suggest that you clear the AppWorld application cache:
1. Open App World
2. Go to My World
3a. For keyboard-based BB's -- Hold down the ALT key and then press, in sequence R, then S, then T
3b. For Storm/Pearl -- Hold the num-lock (!?123) button so it locks and then press, in sequence 3, then 4, then (
4. If your BB locks after issuing the cache clear, perform a battery pull reboot
5. Return to AppWorld. Log into MyWorld (if applicable) and try again.
Hopefully it'll work for you! Good luck and let us know!

After a very long session with Tech Support staff from both Bell Mobility and RIM, I was able to resolve the problem that I was experiencing.
I originally set up my Blackberry ID using my mobile device (Bold 9000). Apparently, the setup was not completed and saved correctly and that was the root cause of all of the problems. When I logged into Blackberry ID from my laptop, I was able to complete the three step setup process. This involved downloading a plug-in from the Blackberry website, connecting the phone to the laptop and then completing the setup (including entering Paypal information, if desired) on the laptop.
After I completed this process, I was able to log into the Blackberry ID on my mobile without having to go through the Blackberry App World Membership Addendum, and all of my downloads worked without error.
IMPORTANT: The completion of the Blackberry ID registration process must be completed using Internet Explorer. I had actually tried to do this a few days ago, but I was using Google Chrome. As a result, the required App World Plug In did not download properly to my laptop and I couldn't complete the rest of the setup process.
I hope that this helps the other people who have been experiencing this problem.
