Hi,

 

Well try upgrading you system software or reinstalling it. You will get the updated app world with that. Hopefully that should solve the problem.

Hi, I have the same problem. I'm also getting the "App World must now close" message even when I download via appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/. Unlimited internet isn't included in my data plan. I only get BBM service and social media use so I can only use App World with Wi-Fi. When I turn Wi-Fi off, I get this message: You are currently on a service plan that requires a Wi-Fi connection to use this application. If you want to use this application outside of Wi-Fi, please contact your service provider to upgrade your data plan. Can anyone help me? How can I get my App World to work? Thank you!

 

App World version 2.1.4.9

6.0 Bundle 602 (v6.0.0.222, Platform 4.4.0.147)

Additional details:
I'm located in the Philippines and my mobile service provider is Globe Telecom.

Once u connect to wifi. Try to send service books. Try going to menu > options > device > advance system settings > host routing table > click menu button. Click send service bOok. Hope that helps

When I click Host Routing Table, this is what I see:

 

GPRS PH (515) [51500230]

Wi-Fi [60]

GPRS PH (515) [51500530]

GPRS PH (515) [51500330]

 

When I click the menu button, I see:

 

View

Register Now

Close

 

With the first line (GPRS PH (515) [51500230]) highlighted, I clicked the menu button and selected Register Now. I got a message that said my BB is now registered. I tried downloading something from App World and I still got the message. I'll do a battery pull now and see if it works.

 

Also, when should I use ALT+Right SHIFT+DEL or BATTERY PULL? Thank you :smileyhappy:

I tried to install an app and now I get "There was a problem during installation. Please try again." then I click OK  and this message appears: "BlackBerry App World is having trouble connecting to the BlackBerry App World server. Verify your network connections and try again."

hmmm.. Another quickie.

go to tcp/ip settings in options>device>advance settings and please check your apn and user id. Whether it is correct or wrong. Should be based on your carrier settings.

I'm sorry but where do I go after Advanced System Settings? I assumed TCP IP because that's where "APN" is. I'm sorry I don't know anything about this haha

 

Anyway, when I click TCP IP, this is what I see:

 

APN Settings Enabled:  [/] <-checked box

APN: blackberry.net

APN Authentication Enabled: [] <-unchecked box and grayed out

Username for APN:

Password for APN:

 

I actually explained my whole problem in detail in a post titled "App World Error Problem. Please help!". :smileysad:
