issue with BB app world, bb app world must now close

hello guys,

 

i hope someone could help me out here,

i'm holding a blackberry bold 9650

carrier: singtel

BB OS: 5.0.0.732

app world version: 2.0.0.36

using personal BIS

 

few days back before upgrading blackberry app world, everything works fine.

after i upgraded to 2.0.0.36, it doesn't seem to open.

 

there is an exclaimation message: "there is an issue with BlackBerry App World. BlackBerry App World must now close."

 

without being able to open app world, how can i even update to a newer less problematic version when it finally comes out!?

I am having the same problem. tried uninstalling and reinstalling app wrold but i got the same error mistake......

I am also facing the same problem. i guess it has something to do with the newer version. Will appreciate some enlightenment on this. Was on the line with Singtel Technical support for almost half an hour and they cold not figure it out as well.

this is what i've experimented and found out:

 

1. singtel 3G BB data is functioing properly (3G and the 4 dots)

2. when BB app world is opened, it temporarily loads (the bar moves)

3. the error" there is an issue with blackberry app world. blackberry app world must close now' appears

4. pressing 'OK', i discovered, the 4 dots gone missing.

 

could it because the BB data got 'tripped' like what happens in a power outage?

 

i'm alittle assured i'm not the only experiencing this problem. but still puzzled

 

P.S:   pallavm, what BB model you using?

i didnt do anything to it but this morning it works!!! maybe its really an issue w app world

I am using the 9700 Bold. This morning for a while I thought I cd get into App World but again the same problem. Also, it is constantly prompting me to create a BB account which can remember my apps etc so the next time I change the phone I will know the apps that were installed.

 

Any solution?

Having this problem too. Brand new Curve 8520 on Singtel with BB Flexi plan/ BIS 3gb.

 

Problem seems to generally go away if I use WiFi....

I am having the same problem. I deleted and reloaded 4 times without any success. Just deleted it again and am leaving it off till it is fixed.
