It actually just worked and I can finally log in, so I want to share what I did wrong so maybe someone else does not make the same mistake:

 

I did the whole 'get time zone updates thing' and pressed 'save' afterwards. What I forgot was to set the 'update time' field from 'manual' to 'automatic' !

 

The tutorial for this error (http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/viewdocument.do?externalId=KB25882&sliceId=1&cmd=displayKC&d... )  does mention this but only at the software 6.0 section and I looked into the software 5.0 section (did not have a clue which software I had..)

I had the same problem but I deleted and re-installed bb app world and it worked fine for a long time and now I can't download any apps cuz it says error occured....ect..

I understand that you are desperate, but have you already read this entire thread and tried what is already posted? AND, have you already searched other threads in this site (there are several on this exact topic). If so, please enumerate ALL that you have already tried and the specific outcomes of each...otherwise, you are asking volunteers to do, special for you, something that's already been done...

Thank you so much mine is now working, I changed the time zone and now it's working well thanx to every one who posted instructions on how to do it , it really helped. I hope others call be helped through your post thanks a million times

♍ε̲̣̣̣̥ am sick and tired of thid also, infact I don't have any application again and still can't use my appworld, I've tried all possible means still the error thing still popping up.what's  without appworld?

Onoski plz try and read all the different instructions and post written by people who use to experience the same problem but now have been able to access app world, like I just changed time Zones cause am in South Africa and written +2 harare and saved . Other people had to change other things in their settings so just continue to look through people post and am sure soon you will find a solution. Try and do what they also did to their phones good luck, I know it can be stress full but just try attemting all other instructions
