"Unable to Login to you BlackBerry ID account" --- "OK"

I had this problem for almost a week where I am unable to login to my BlackBerry ID account.

 

Error message: "Unable to Login to you BlackBerry ID account" and I only have the "OK" button to press.

 

I tried this from my Blackberry Bold 9900 when trying to access Black Berry App My World.

 

I had my password right. Changing my password did not help.

 

I can login from PC through any web browser. However when i try to download an app and sync with my 9900, it just hung there.

 

Please help me debug and fix this issue. Thanks

Hi Prince,

I've tried Workaround 1 and Workaround 3. Both did not work. Still unable to login.

 

I've also tried to reinstall the Blackberry App World and retried Workaround 1 and Workaround 3. Still unable to login.

 

Interestingly, I get notifications of my apps needing upgrade, but I just cannot login to the Blackberry App World.

 

So in a way, my phone is communicating with the server, but just does not allow me to login

 

Do I really need to factory reset my phone?

 

Is there other ways?

                       So you had tried Workaround 1 and 3 but have follow the notes before that .Have you tried to register your device did you recieve that registration message ,also if using wi fi turn it off . Please try it and let us know.

Hi Prince,

When I am at the Host Routing Table I saw a number of routes

 

e.g.

 

3G MY (YYY) [XXXXXXX]

 

I registered all of them and saw "Registration Message Sent!".

 

But I did not see any registration message like "success" or etc

                      When we register our device we recieve the registration message from our network provider which shows  that the device has mobile data connectivety with the network and it is resigtred with that particular network.As you are unable to recieve that message have you tried to contact your Wireless Service Provider regarding this issue.

 

Are you able to use other applications of BlackBerry at this time ,If yes then do a proper backup of device and perform the workaround 2 ,See if that helps.

I've successfully registered my device and received the message "Your handheld has been registered with the wireless network".

 

And I tried to login, still failed with the "Unable to Login to your Blackberry ID account"

 

So looks like I have no choice but to try out the Workaround 2.

 

Before I go here, if by any chance Workaround 2 does not work, then what other options do I have?

                              Please go through the Knowledge Base step by step ,If one fails try the other and  I am sure it will help. But yes before trying workaround 2 please do your device backup using desktop software.

Looks like I have to reset t factory settings to get it fixed.

 

However, after reset and getting things working, I rebooted and encountered a new issue

I have seen your recent post After Factory Reset: Facing Errror ID 30702/Unable to update BB ID account . But for your information following the workaround 2 :KB28212 and reset  to factory setting does not cause that error infact that workaround was given to resolve the problem.

 

You had to look at the causes within this KB and it is only you who know if it is.And yes if error occur there is no way but to follow the RIM's Knowledge Base again ( Reset to Factory settings is the last option , first try those other workaround ) and avoid those causes  which may cause this error unless a new Knowledge Base is suggested regarding this specific error.
