Account Info Needed

Every now and then my BlackBerry z10 comes up with the message "Your login information for account (Yahoo! - ) has changed or is incorrect. Update your login information and try again" sometimes it's true, most times its not.

Any ideas why this happens?

Yahoo itself has had known network service delivery issues this past week.

Those messages should stop once Yahoo gets their network issues fixed.

Thank J SANDERS, but this problem has been on going ever since I got my BlackBerry z10 last year. Even with the OS update from 10.0 to 10.2.

Could Yahoo possibly have issues for this long a time?

Then do this...

Settings > Accounts > tap your Yahoo account and tap delete at the bottom.

Restart your Z10 by holding the top edge power button about 20 seconds until the screen goes black and it commences a reboot.

Return to your Settings > Accounts and re-add the yahoo account.

 

Also, What is your Operating System loaded to your device? From the main screen, swipe down from the top black bezel to Settings > About... what is the OS Version listed there?  Once you've upgraded to OS 10.2.1, that issue will stop (as long as Yahoo has no server issues).

I have the same problem and it is driving me NUTS!

 

I have the ATT Z10, running OS 10.2.1 - latest update.

 

Every morning around 2-3 am I get an alert:

 

You need to update your account password for XXXX-PC

(Where XXXX is my PC name that I set up with Blackberry Link).

 

I have been using BB Link from the beginning and this problem started about 2-3 months ago. For a while, the alert came during the day, now it is during the night and it gives me the same sound alert as my incoming text messages. I cannot turn the sound alert off during the night and I can't use sleep mode ( I am a physician) but I haven't figured out how I  can turn this type of alert off separately from my text messages.

 

The BB Link software runs smoothly otherwise. I tried turning off Blackberry Link in the Settings section on my phone when I go to bed - no success - the alert still comes, wakes me up. 

 

None of my other accounts do this, only the PC account and I must have it to sync with Outlook once or twice a week.

 

Any help or suggestion is appreciated.

andalex, there was a recent, last week I think, upgrade to Link. Have you upgraded?

And, if you have, you might try deleting and removing Link from your PC, rebooting the PC and reloading Link.
