Adding Picture to Email with Camera

On my old Torch when I wanted to add a picture as an attachment, I would select attachment, choost picture, camera, take a pic and it would add the picture as an attachemnt.  It would even ask ahow much compression to use so the file was not too large.  Now on my Z10 when I select attachment and picture, it will not allow me to use the camera.  I have to browse to the already taken picture and it does not allow me to change the size of the file for the attachment.  Am I missing something?  I hope so, because this is something I do all the time.  Losing my group contacts was bad enough, but this I find really bad.  Thanks.

Re: Adding Picture to Email with Camera

No, the compression choice is no longer present.

Perhaps it will be added back.

There are apps in AppWorld which will compress or change the file size.

Re: Adding Picture to Email with Camera

You can easily use the camera for adding a picture

Hit attach, picture and then on the bottom there is a camera button

hit that and use, but as for compression, as we do not use BIS truly anymore, that option is gone.

But realistically, the pic is only like 1.5mb, not even close to being too big

Re: Adding Picture to Email with Camera

Another method is to take the picture first, then open the picture and hit "Share" and choose the email address you want to send from. As already stated, no compression.

Re: Adding Picture to Email with Camera

There is no camera at the bottom. Only 'up' 'search' 'list' and 'sort'.  I have the latest update installed.

Re: Adding Picture to Email with Camera

the camera is "at the bottom" if you are doing it way he described... but that's irrelevant, you can't get compression on the file unless you downsize it first with a third part app.
