Annoying email icon on intro screen

How can I remove the little icon on my screen that gives a huge number next to an email icon. Everytime I wake my phone up the icon is there. It disappears once I go to home screen but it is annoying and I would like to remove it.

Any help appreciated.:Balloon:

Re: Annoying email icon on intro screen

That icon is supposed to let you know what new notifications you have. I'm sure they will split it up by email account in a future update. :smileyhappy:

Re: Annoying email icon on intro screen

Thanks but I htink it is a different one to the one you are referring to as I already get a little icon telling me I have various notifications but this one is on the intro screen before you get to your home screen and the number has stayed the same since I got my Z10 last week. It just has a little email icon with 566 beside it.

I do not know what the 566 refers to.

Re: Annoying email icon on intro screen

Can you do a screen shot of this screen by pressing the volume up and down buttons at the same time?  It may help solve the mystery.

Got a screen shot but can't seem to attach it to this reply - any ideas how to attach it?

Re: Annoying email icon on intro screen

I know which icon you're referring to. You can't remove it, it is supposed to be there.

Re: Annoying email icon on intro screen

Unread emails.

If you have none, then the icon will not appear.
