And no backup from the previous device?

 

I think I'd restore using email... that IS the way your BlackBerryID connects now to your BBM.

Same as it was on BBM v7

I just got a call from my Rogers Tech. He states do not use that. They are having same issue with TEST devises they have at Rogers. Since all the info is backed up on RIM/Blackberry Servers and not my computer LINK WILL NOT restore them..

The issue is not being able to connect to the RIM Servers.... Apparently Rogers haS many open tickets on this and have escalated it a few times to Blackberry.

Wait and see is all we can do now and not use BBM

A question: has Rogers actually given you an escalation or incident number to this issue?

If they have not, they should. And you would be speaking directly to a BlackBerry tier two support tech, not hearing third hand what Rogers may or may not have told BlackBerry.

RIM ticket for this issue is 26216072. Rogers Tier 2 contacted RIM to report this issue. This issue is happening with multiple phones.

 

Blackberry (RIM) contact number is 1-877-255-2377

i have transfered from bold 9900 to Z10 but i didn't have problems in syncing back the bbm contacts since it is linked to my blackberry ID, as i enetred my bb ID i found all my bbm contacts and even my old diplay name and picture, don't you have blackbery ID ??

Yes, he does, but he's afraid to restore using the BBID.

I received this updat ethis afternoon form my Rogers Biz Tach:

Hi,

Update on BBM issue with your Blackberry Z10.

 

Many Blackberry Z10 users are affected by this BBM issue. RIM advised there is a hotfix that will be applied to the BBM Server, which should resolve this issue. Unfortunately, they do not have an ETA when this fix will be applied. Please note RIM KB33652 is open for this issue.

Well 16 days without BBM and I did not hear anything from RIM or Rogers sconce Thursday so I just decided to click BBM. Well guess what.... It connected to the Server and is now WORKING!!!! Wooooo Hooooo!!!!
