Re: Battery life

If one doesn't have imap access to their Exchange server you can't set to 15 min push, if I'm not mistaken.

Also, if you still have an open ticket with BB on this call them back and explain the situation and throw it into their lap for a solution. It needs to be fixed.

Re: Battery life

I don't use exchange and my battery life is still pretty awful, so it might not be the solution for everyone. It's dangerous to let BlackBerry think that's the only answer. I am however glad it works for you :smileyhappy:

Re: Battery life

I believe BB closed the ticket after providing me with a "it will be fixed in an update" response.

Re: Battery life

It may not be the issue for everyone but it's definitely the issue for some. Good to have a ticket open on it anyway.

Re: Battery life

I'm still not convinced that I would have 20+ hours of battery life like some are claiming, but my Berry is also still only three days old and I've heard it takes about a week to improve. So, I guess I'll give it some time with my work email disconnected and see if it really is the issue. As of now I've dropped from 49% to 34% from 4:00 to 6:45. Approximately. So let's say 20% in 3 hours... certainly the best I've experienced yet.

Re: Battery life

I'd be interested to know how frequently the phone checks servers such as Facebook, linked in, hotmail and my other email accounts and whether setting all accounts to check every 15minutes would increase my battery life any more.

I'm not connected to any business servers etc and I can get about 20hours between charges max. That's without calls. Just emails, Facebook, browsing etc. Mainly wifi usage at present. Till all my numbers are sorted and I finally hang up my old nokia. In a drawer for safe keeping. Lol

Re: Battery life

I read a comparison of this phone and a nokia where it said the Z10 had a 12.7 day standby time. I'm assuming that is with the phone off. Lol. Which means the phone loses about 8% charge per day even when it's off. Either way, this phone could do with a 2500mAh battery in my opinion for a good day of usage.

Re: Battery life

@Krazy

While my Battery life isn't particularly amazing at the moment, I can safely say that disabling my work email (which was not through an Exchange server) added substantially to the battery life I was experiencing. Were you connected through IMAP like me?
