Re: Battery life

Im getting about 17 hours - 8am to 12am ish. Somewhat light use with 8 hrs straight of listening to music and only lte running - no wifi. Emails, messaging, calls, and browsing. Nfc and blutetooth off with about 30% brightness and 1min timeout. I know there were issues with the playbook battery draining fast when pop email was set to manual, maybe its the same issue here. Try setting it to anything other than manual.

Re: Battery life

All,

Just to let you know, I exchanged the initial z10 for a new one, and the battery life on the new one is fantastic. Managed 24 hours on one charge and still have 15% left. So if anyone has the same problem - go and exchange your unit.

Re: Battery life

I have received a new unit, and a new battery.  Turned it on saturday at 730 am,  900am battery was almost dead had to plug in.  Pluggin in  for 2 hours the battery went up to only 50 percent.  I cannot stray far from a wall plug

I have no wifi, no gps , just network.

I am thinking the store i deal with has a bad batch of batteries and or units,

I am seeing that most of you are gettig more then 2 hours of battery, I would say 8 hours would be the min you are all getting,,,

Re: Battery life

So far I 've had mine since launch and only made 3 calls as I haven't got my numbers from my old nokia yet so I'm still running 2 mobiles.

I'm on 02 and my connection normally says 3G or H+ (whatever that is?).

I leave wi-fi on when at home and don't have masses of emails. No calls or texts incoming.

At night: flightmode. Notifications are always set to silent.

Brightness is ~60%. Screen lock after 5min.

Listen to maybe a 2 hours a day mp3. An hour or so of internet browsing.

Charged my phone last night. Now on 55% charge. Lucky to get 20 hours before power is out.

Re: Battery life

As I have been listening to my mp3 and uploading to the box app over wifi while typing these posts on the main pc I have lost 15% battery in 35min! So I it'd be safe to say that If I was making calls & texts and using my phone properly all day over 3G I'd be on about 4 hours battery life.

2 hours does seem extremely low though!! something is not right.

Re: Battery life

I charged my overnight and then left it and was plugged in still for 2 hours and came back to half the battery gone and this was with no use at all.

Are people saying need to exchange the original device?

Re: Battery life

Out of interest, how good is your carrier signal? I have found that even with phones with great power management if they are in areas of low signal then the phone keeps hunting for the carrier and this reduces battery life significantly.

I am lucky to have full signal where I live. Could this be an issue for any of you?
