Hello all, its my first post so if this is in the wrong section or this problem has already been solved, kindly link me to the correct post.
I've got my blackberry z10 not too long ago, probably 2 months, and at first the battery was okay. A full charge is 100%. There was 1 occassion where I used it till the battery was fully flat out and the device turned off on its own.
It warned me of 10% left and immediately shuts down after that. Now I'm having the problem of it not charging till 100%. It shows me the 'lightning' icon up till around 75% where it stops and shows me the '=' sign as in fully charged or not charging.
I've tried to restart the device, and even switching it off while charging to see it fixes the problem or not, but to no avail.
Anyone here has the same experience? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

Hi! I tried posting a link but I keep getting some 'Post Flooding' error msg.
If you go back a page or two on this same (Z10) section of the forum you'll find your issue has been resolved with other users.
I'm listening to a podcast atm so I can't check it out anymore.
Edit: Oh! I see it did work after all

Persist and I'm sure you'll get it sorted.
There are some very knowledgeable people on this forum to advise you
and this phone is worth fighting for
I've just spent the morning setting up my (not so old) Android as a gift to a young relative..
I then realised how truly horrible that phone actually was,
in comparison to this one!

yea, i love my blackberry since the day i got hold of my old curve 8250..
anyway, i;ve tried the method. I let it charge till it stops at 78% on its own, and then while the cable is being plugged in, i removed the back cover and removed the battery.
the screen fades, the red LED comes up, and then the screen shows a 'no-battery' sign, then switches off.... i waited for about 2-3 mins before plugging in the battery and restarting the phone...
and its still the same???? the charge stops at 78% and says that '=' its full... ive done this twice.
Anymore solutions? the z10 is perfect, but such bugs annoy me... =(

Something I'd learnt to do on Androids was to (supposedly) recalibrate the battery in order to prolong battery life.
It involved charging the phone to it's maximum whilst the phone was switched on, then turning it off and recommence charging. You could see that the phone would continue charging further via an indicator light.
You could experiment and turn the Z10 off when it's charging. It should restart when the battery's full.
(Here's hoping! )

let your battery fully drain (your device will turn off)
take out your battery, sim card, sd card
leave it that way for about 30 minutes
charge your phone without the battery - it will auto restart
when your led turns red during the restart, insert your battery and let it charge
