Bb10 and contact group

[ Edited ]

Will the new 10.1 OS allow contacts on Z10 to once again have a corresponding sync field with "Categories" in MS Outlook ?? This field synced perfectly on my Bold 9900, but it was called "Groups" in OS7.

Re: Bb10 and contact group

Hey gliveron,

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

Thanks for the question.

Currently categories and groups is not available in BlackBerry 10 or 10.1.  There is no estimated time when this feature will be available.

Re: Bb10 and contact group

I've been a 10 year user of blackberry, my wife has been a 7 year user...I upgraded to the Z10, and this lack of feature will mean that she will likely go to a Samsung, especially since this has been on the boards since March and there is still no ETA on a fix. No groups slows everything down...I'm not a coder, but it would seem like it should be a quick and easy fix

Re: Bb10 and contact group

Any word on this feature becoming available?

I have been nothing but disappointed since I got my Q10. Blackberry seems to have removed so many features that were critical to maintaining an efficient workflow. If I wanted a clunky, cumbersome phone with an inefficient OS I would have just bought an iPhone. But my "upgrade" to a Q10 from my Bold 9930 feels more like a downgrade.

I send multiple calendar invites daily and they always go to multiple people who are all part of my team. Having to add each one individually to each invite is a huge pain.

I may be looking at other options now other than BB. Very disappointing...
