BlackBerry Keyboard

There is someting wrong with the Z10 keyboard setting, I think

When I input, for example, I key in 13 character in the text field, but now I want delete first 5 characters, so I move the cursor behind the 5th character, then hold the backspace to delete the 5 characters.

Normally, it should keep last 8 characters even I hold the backspace for a long time, but this will not, it will delete all characters even thoug the characters behind the cursor.

Is there any setting I miss out?

Re: BlackBerry Keyboard

As you explained it works correctly for me. What screen is this on?

Does it do the same for you whether an email, text message or even a note or memo?

Re: BlackBerry Keyboard

Have you considered a security wipe to see if that works?

Re: BlackBerry Keyboard

Yep, and I really don't understand what the error is that you're experiencing, but the wipe should reset the keyboard back to factory settings.

Re: BlackBerry Keyboard

for example, I key in " I am a black berry Z10 fan" in text box.
But now I want to correct it to "you are a black berry Z10 fan".
What will you do?
Normally, I will point the cursor to the position just behind "I am", and hold back space to delete "I am".
Now the issue happen, if you keep on hold the back space, it will delete " a black berry Z10 fan" as well until you release the back space.

Re: BlackBerry Keyboard

The preferred method of correcting in this example would be to move the cursor to behind "I am" then to swipe from right to left on your keyboard. Every time you swipe to the left, it erases a complete word. Swipe twice and your two words are gone.

I hope that helps you. :smileyhappy:
