Blackberry not connecting to home wifi

Hey guys,

Im new to the z10 i actually just got it today and i've noticed that my z10 does not want to connect to my home wifi. Like i've connected it to numerous other networks, but it just doesnt connect to my home wifi. All the other devices at home work perfectly with the wifi so its not like there might be something wrong with the router. Please if someone can help me out ASAP it would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks

Have you tried rebooting your device?

Re: Blackberry not connecting to home wifi

Hi there.

I had the same problem when I installed the latest update at home. It says I am connected to my home wifi in the settings menu but the bars don't show up in the homescreen. It connects to wifi everywhere else. I haven't been able to solve the problem so I just run off of 4G at home and then wifi everywhere else it will connect.

Sorry if this doesn't help you at all but I wanted to let you know I had a similar problem.

Did you install any updates since you bought the phone?

If you continue to have problems,  contact your carrier for support or contact BlackBerry via twitter. They have helped me out a lot in the past.

Re: Blackberry not connecting to home wifi

I have tried rebooting and that made no difference at all. It could be an update problem, as i updated to os version 10.1. I have no idea how to rectify this issue, its actually stressing me out :smileysad:

Can you share the actual release of the OS? 10.1.a.b?

For your WiFi type use modulation type a or g. Type n has problems with many types of devices.

Using b or g modulation may work for you. Type b should also work but it is at 11 mb/sec maximum.

Intel has a page displaying some basics about WiFi standards:
