Re: Bluetooth is disabled by your administrator after update to OS 10.2.1.537

So will this be considered as a bug then or is blackberry going to push this through as a feature.  I can tell you I am going to have a hard time getting the IT folks to create me an account that does not need a password just for me.  Likelyhood of that happening is slim to none.

Re: Bluetooth is disabled by your administrator after update to OS 10.2.1.537

You are 100% correct willardv. Once I deleted my exchange email account, the Bluetooth service is no longer disabled. Now the question is how to I revert back to the previous release of the OS. I need my exchange emails as well as my Bluetooth. I talk a lot in the car and hand held is not an option as it is not legal. I don't understand why Blackberry did this. Very frustrating!!

Since the last OS update I can't connect via bluetooth to my car.

The connection to the SAP Module from Mercedes was never possible. With the BB 9700 ( a nice phone) was it any time possible. But with the **bleep** Z10 ....

Years ago, Apple had the same problem with their 1st and 2nd generation of iPhones. People were spending tons of money to get the SAP device, then it turned out that the iPhones weren`t working with it. Their Bluetooth didn`t have the SAP protocol.

RIM has developed good mobile phones. With the Z10 they stop it. The Z10 software is a shame for RIM. They are kidding the customers.

RIM has built good phone because every year they were building it on an already existing infrastructure.

With the new OS10, things are brand new. The OS10 is just 1 year old and yes  there are gonna be glitches

Re: Bluetooth is disabled by your administrator after update to OS 10.2.1.537

Well ... I have reverted back to 10.2.0.429 thanks to a member in this forum (sdgradne) who pointed me to this post http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-10-OS-Device-Software/Upgrading-OS10-devices-using... .  However, I did loose about 1 year worth of contacts as the backup I took of 10.2.1.537 was not compatible with10.2.0.429 from the Autoloader.  I had to restore the backup I had from my 9800.  I guess this would be partly my fault in putting too much trust into Blackberry.  Never again!

My Bluetooth is now working again along side with my Exchange emails.  Lesson learnt here is wait at least a month before applying any updates pushed down by Blackberry if you don't have time to go through what I went through or as my wife said to me "if it ain't broke ... don't fix it!".

Without success.

Before adding exchange account Bluetooth functions but after adding exchange account Bluetooth still disabled by the administrator.

I will try to go further back with the OS (10.1)

Re: Bluetooth is disabled by your administrator after update to OS 10.2.1.537

That's interesting.  Not sure if it makes a difference but my z10 is a STL100-3.  It was very straight forward for me.  No issues except for trying to restore the backup I made from 10.2.1.537.
