Camera Can't be Started

Well when I reboot the device the camera starts but the background is all black like something is blocking the lence.. Then when I close the app the camera icon becomes transparent and can't be open.The second time I open it it says camera can't be open.. I did everything including secure swipe.. Nothing works.. Please help ?

No, I don't need it.

 

What I'd honestly recommend is returning the device. Being a brand new device, you don't need the headache of something not working out of the box like this. Exchange it for a new one, working.

I got the same problem for the last 3 days, have tried all method from bateray pulling, wipe device, reinstall OS, format the memory card but the problem persist. Almost gave up and accepted that is a hardware problem. Then on the last resort I pull out the memory card and clean the connector with pencil eraser and blow the memory card hole (to remove the dirts), and put it back and amazingly it works again....! My bb is Bold 9700! I`m hananto from Indonesia btw....:smileyhappy:
