When I open the camera the screen just stays black

Does not matter if I select camera, front camera or video it stays black

My service provider contacted Blackberry South Africa.

The clown at BB SA said they think the software is not compatible with MTN yet. I fail to see what compatibility with MTN has to do with the camera.

Another suggestion was to update the OS, but the OS is on 10.0.9.2372 and if I tell it to update it says "You have the latest software"

Any suggestions? Or have anybody else experienced a problem with the camera not working?

Now when I tried to open the camera it said "the camera is in use, please close any application using it and try again" but the only apps open at the moment is the camera and the hub.

Oh yes, and I did restart it numerous times. I took the battery out, put it back in, started the phone and then immediately try the camera without opening any other apps and it stays the same.

Did not work either

The article says

"Connect your BlackBerry 10 device. Once it's recognized by BlackBerry Link, click the gear icon to access the settings page.

• From here you should see the option to reload device software."

But I do not get the option to reload software on my link

Only restore to factory settings

Did you remove the SIM card from the device as instructed?

No I did not

Will try it just now but now Blackberry Link is not opening. The **bleep** thing just hangs. Wether I open it with phone plugged in or try to open it without the phone, the software do not want to open. I left it for 5 minutes now and it still shows the little black screen which says "Blackberry Link" and nothing else happens.

I closed it in task manager twice now and retried to open it but it still just hangs there.

OK Sim card ow out and still the same, I do not have such a function in my BB Link

Something strange is going on here.

The article says in the left pane should be a link, there aint any link

If I go to help in Link it also says go to settings and click the "Install Update" link, but there is no link like that

OK I found it. In BB Link there were two tabs at the bottom, one for my laptop and one for the BB. When I click on the laptop tab I could see that link saying "reload device software"

I did that and the camera still do not work
