Device unlocking!!

Hi all!

I'm new BB Z10 user. Plz answer my small querry! BB offers device lock & password set. To unlock, 10 chances given for entering correect password. If all attempts fails, how should I do?

I'm not in such condition but asking you in precaution! - my 2 year child being often scribbling on my BB.

Thanks

If you exhaust 10 tries, then the device will be hardlocked.

Re: Device unlocking!!

Hi! Welcome to the forums.

Great question! What usually happens when you enter your MEP incorrectly (mostly 10 times) is your device will be permanently locked to the specific carrier and only BlackBerry can unlcock it. Cheers! Smiley Happy

Re: Device unlocking!!

You're welcome!

Glad we were able to help.
If you want to unclock your phone follow this link:
http://n4bb.com/unlock-blackberry-z10-q10-2/

But skip steps 1,2, and 3. Since you already have the unlock code (MEP).

Cheers! Smiley Happy

Re: Device unlocking!!

@ujwalnambiar_
I know. And that link is not about unlocking a Hard locked device. Try reading the link again. It's about unlocking the device so it can be used for other carriers.

That's the query is all about in the first place. (Unlocking the device that is locked to a specific carrier).

Re: Device unlocking!!

He's talking about the screen lock password, not the carrier lock !!!!
