Depending on the email account that is configured you may or may not be able to change this setting. To access the setting do the following. Access your Settings> Accounts and choose the account you want to edit, if the option is available you will see an Advanced option at the bottom, click this and then scroll to the bottom and you will see Sync Timeframe. Here you will be able to choose the timeframe that works best for you.
