Email Problem in BB Z10

I am trying to send an email through my configured Google and personal mail id. Sending an email to known contact is very easy. But I am unable to send a email to a fresh mail id. As soon as I type a fresh mail id in " To" field Z10 Screen shows "Look up...." then nothing. I have to add that contact in my contact list and after that can send a email.

Re: Email Problem in BB Z10

Hello brijindermanu,

Sorry to hear you're having difficulty with your email.

Is your device active on a BlackBerry Enterprise Server? If not, the Look Up function will not work as it tires to connect to the BES.

When you type the email address you should be able to tap on it to enter it in the To field. It will then turn blue to confirm the address is entered.

Let me know if you're unable to do so.

Re: Email Problem in BB Z10

My device is not in Blackberry Enterprise server. I am trying this on by Outlook account and Gmail account, both cases I am unable to send any mails to any unknown mail id :smileysad:

Re: Email Problem in BB Z10

Since you are not using BES the "Look Up" feature will not pertain to you.

When you are typing out the email address, once you have finished typing it out tap on the email itself. It should now appear in a blue box in the To field.

Thanks!
