Email account broken with 10.1.0.4181

Hello,

After the 4181 upgrade one of my email accounts is broken. It was a gmail account set up through the IMAP setup, not gmail. I did this because, I need a "reply to" email address that is not gmail. This option is not possible if the account is set up as a gmail account. It worked like a charm until the upgrade and now it doesn't work.

The issue is that it is asking me for a password. However, when I go to account settings and select the offending account, I get only a white screen. There is no option to enter the account information. I suspect this has something to do with the fact that the new OS forces a very basic login setup for gmail accounts. I personally prefer choosing my IMAP and smtp servers myself. Anyway I cannot enter the password and I cannot even delete the account and start over as the delete option is on the account info page that I cannot access the account. When I try to add a second account it says that the account already exists.

I would really like to find a way to enter the password. In the alternative, if I could at least delete the account that would be helpful.

Thanks.

Try editing that account from the Hub.

Touch the lower right three dots overflow icon > Settings.

Touch the lower Email Accounts > touch the Gmail account and then the EDIT icon at the bottom.

Will that work for you?

Re: Email account broken with 10.1.0.4181

After I did the latest OS update my gmail account seemed to be also stuffed up and wouldn't accept my normal password. I deleted the account and readded it. Now its fine. You shouldn't need to do that though.

Re: Email account broken with 10.1.0.4181

I couldn't delete or edit the account from the hub or from the main settings.

However, I did find a solution. I just created another account using the actual gmail address (rather that the alias) and then "both" accounts started working normally. Interestingly, only the original one is showing up in the hub. Although both are visible in settings.

Re: Email account broken with 10.1.0.4181

I have multiple gmail accounts, one of them derped about 2 months ago and came up stating there was an issue and thereby wouldn't receive any emails.

Deleted, readded and tried editing but wouldn't work... I took note of all the settings in one of the other email accounts and edited the derp, saved and rebooted.

Seemed to work :-s
