I notice on some of the demo videos there is the Evernote app....but when I try and find Evernote in the app section of the site, it does not exist??? What am I doing wrong or what have I missed?
I am brand new to the BlackBerry phenomenon and I have a BB Z10, which is by far the best phone I have ever owned

Evernote is available as an android side-load for now.

I have not tried it.
I have loaded google maps . Most things work. Some things cause it to crash.
I also tried the wifi analyzer. The GUI starts, but no data is displayed
. I deleted it.
Hopefully, most of these apps will be migrated to OS10 soon.

Like Greggov, I am using Evernote in the Remember app... quite handy.
I'm not sure it would be more useful as a side-loaded app, but if that's what one prefers...
