Facebook issue?

I have a new Z10. Been using the Facebook app now for two weeks. This morning I got a message when trying to open the app. "There was a problem connecting to Facebook. Please check your connection and try again." I have checked my settings and done a restart. I can access my account via the browser no problems. I am on the Telstra network in Australia. Is anyone aware of a problem/fix?

Mmmhh that is strange. I am sure I responded to this on my BB browser (via an email link) this morning. Really sadden by the number of inconveniences of the new BB. Anyhow, I will persist.

 

I held down the power buttton and then tapped on the restart.

Replying via email does not work on this forum.

 

Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.

This is happening to many people including me. Look at crackberry for examples. A battery pull hasn't fixed my problems nor anything else I have tried.

This is an error with Facebook app for BB. You have to wait until they release an update. BB introduced just a basic Facebook app when introducing Z10. They will fix these bugs with future updates.

Here it is 8 months later and same problems persist for days on end until some miraculous connection happens and FB starts working again. I have tried all the posted "solutions".  Only way I relieable get FB on my Z10 is through the browser not thru FB mobile app. A big disappointment BB, gets one thinking about switching products

Facebook notifications work well here.

 

What is your Operating System loaded to your device? From the main screen, swipe down from the top black bezel to Settings > About... what is the OS Version listed there?
