There are a lot of negative posts on this forum these days, so I wanted to start a positive one.

The browser on this phone is AMAZING so we should be using that too our advantage.

Missing an app that you love? There are some things you CAN do about it!

1) contact the developers / companies that make the app for other platforms and let them them know you are on BB10 and that you want their app! Tweet, email, Facebook, phone.. whatever ... If they don't know you are interested, they won't get here quickly. so the more the merrier.

I've started a hash tag that I will retweet any time I see it come up: #GetWithBB10. So get on board and let them know.

2) side load the Android version. Lots of notes on this here. Do a search for instructions.

3) don't want to side load? USE the browser! It's awesome!

There are tonnes of mobile sites our there that work very well which will fill the void until the apps arrive or they gain functionality you are missing. Try your favourite domain with touch. or m. in front.

Bookmark them onto your home page and it will be just like an app! Thus the "Make your own"

Yes the browser is great as a replacement for some mobile apps.   For example, my BMO account can be accessed using the browser on my Z10 and playbook which mirrors the pc version.  The android side load from goodereader doesn't work.  I have the android app on my Samsung tablet, and it is less functional than the browser version.

maybe the reason is because it is extremely complicated to make a blackberry app?

I mean, i develop for Windows 8 apps. And other mobiles. And i sure have to admit Blackberry seems to be the most complicated one when it comes to submitting and debugging apps.

You are not talking about BB 10. Because if you would, I would say BS

But BB OS was very harsh for developers. Times are changing.

Lol... READ the post.. you don't have to develop anything. Just create a browser shortcut to a mobile site.!!

Thanks for the tip, I will make a few that I use, plus I didn't know redflag deals had a mobile site.  Gonna try my bank(royal bank)  too see if they have mobile.
