Filters on BB10 - BES emails?

Hi all, I understand that on BB10 devices, there's no filter for personal emails (IMAP, POP, GMAIL, etc), is this function gone for BES as well, and is there a requirement for version of BES to manage these on a BB10 device? If this function is available, is there a way to access it from the device or from Link? Thank you!

Re: Filters on BB10 - BES emails?

Explain what you mean "on BB10 devices, there's no filter for personal emails", what is it you are attempting to achieve?

Yes, BES10 is required.

Re: Filters on BB10 - BES emails?

Thank you jsanders!

Here are my missing bits: A person on an Exchange BES currently has some emails dealt with by Outlook rules to deliver the messages to a subfolder, but they aren't necessary to be delivered on their device.  On legacy devices, a filter could be created to not deliver these messages to the smartphone OR not sync that specific folder on Exchange. They can't find that functionality, but knowing that it exists can make me dig more.

If the Z10 device has a Work partition with Balance, does this indicate a BES10 background, or can this be acheived with earlier versions of BES as well?

Thank you again!

Ask that user (or yourself?) to open their Hub > three dots > Settings > Email Accounts.

Tap the email account in question and at the bottom of the screen > Edit.

Scroll down toward the bottom of that screen to EDIT FOLDER SETTINGS.

You should be able to show which folders sync there.

IF you don't see those settings, this could then be a BES issue.

If this is a BES issue, I'll ask a moderator to move this thread to the BES10 section of this forum.

Perfection, that's exactly what I needed.

Great, you're welcome... I'm using the "you" generically...

Good luck.
