Gmail 30 day seems limiting.

Does anyone else think that having only 30 day of gmail email available to you on your bbZ10 phone is limiting?  This can't be true.  How do I get access to stuff before that?

Login to your Gmail account on the web and you'll have access to all the past messages.

Good luck.

Re: Gmail 30 day seems limiting.

Good idea but I am used to syncing my Folders and there are some dating back to last year, why limit the number of days. Android allows me all I want up to my Memory limit.

Re: Gmail 30 day seems limiting.

I agree that 30 days is limited, and that it works differently on other devices. However, no one here can actually change how the device is programmed...only BlackBerry can do that (but they first must choose to).

Good luck!

Re: Gmail 30 day seems limiting.

With the newly released OS version 10.1 for Z10, you can now set the Sync Timeframe to "Forever". So you will see all your mails on the Z10.

How so?  I don't see any settings for this.  I simply want to know how I can keep email beyond 30 days on the phone.

Re: Gmail 30 day seems limiting.

Gmail is using Imap as mail protocol. This does not work for Imap. It only works for ActiveSync.

Good suggestion.

Another way of doing this is printing every email you ever receive and put them in large binder.

Better still, you could read them outloud and record them on magnetic tape and then store them away in remote, secure vaults on a remote island which you could then access by flying or boating over there.

So many options man.
