HELP REQUIRED

Ever since the OS on my Blackberry Z10 was updated, I've had endless problems.. at first I wasn't receiving text messages and then when I did receive one I have to restart my phone to enable me to read it and reply.. this happens everytime I receive an SMS.

I hard reset my Blackberry Z10 and it has now been stuck on the shredder screen for 3 hours, is this normal?  Is there an average time it takes?  I'm a bit worried that it may be a software glitch now?

Please advise.

Thanks

Re: HELP REQUIRED

According to the amount of data on your Z10 device memory, three hours could be normal.

I'd say if it continues on to five hours, it's stuck.

Where is this now?

Re: HELP REQUIRED

Okay - thanks for your help!

It is still currently showing the shredder screen although the timer is still moving and has been the whole time..

I'll leave it another few hours and then see what happens.

Re: HELP REQUIRED

I have seen the Security Wipe run two hours. But again, it varies.

After another hour or two, the only thing you do can is to remove the battery for a minute and reinsert the battery. If the shredder or wipe continues on, let it. Perhaps it just isn't finished.

Re: HELP REQUIRED

Thanks very much - it's wiped now and seems to be working fine! Hopefully my text messages will come through as normal now - if not i'll be back on for your advice.

Thanks very much.

Re: HELP REQUIRED

OK, good luck. I know other users have had issues with SMS messages on that OS release.
