Help! Device Pin Blocked

I looked at this thread on the support site.

Its my situation exactly. I called my service provider and they said there was nothing they could do and take the phone to an unlock shop.
Please could someone help me sort this out.

Well, they can. You need to ask them to escalate the issue up to BlackBerry Technical support.

Re: Help! Device Pin Blocked

Thanks, but they put me onto the there blackberry team but they  said they couldn't do anything.
My phone though is not there phone. I got the phone in Egypt I use etisalat there, I have Orange when in the UK and I was in Denmark at the time it locked and I was using Lyca Mobile there.
So they said it was a phone thing as they have no access to my phone.
So I am still lost.

Re: Help! Device Pin Blocked

But, they do have the ability to escalate your support call to BlackBerry. They just need to do it.

Otherwise, you're stuck. Trust me on this, I've helped others with the same issue.

Re: Help! Device Pin Blocked

I tried in the UK but they said it had to be done with the network where I got the phone. So now back in Egypt I contacted Etisalat, the provider I originally got the phone from and they do not have any way to contact blackberry!

I been arguing with them for 4 days now and got nowhere! I do not seem to be able to get this phone unlocked. It cost a fair bit of money and it locked on me for no reason.

I am really starting to lose my faith in Blackberry. It's a shame as I have used their handsets for a long time.

But this is getting beyond a joke now.

Yes, they do. Whoever you're speaking with is giving you a bunch of lies.

Re: Help! Device Pin Blocked

JS is right, of course, if your carrier was/is selling BBerry handsets, of course they can contact RIM. However, if your phone has been reported lost or stolen, and that's why your PIN's blocked, they are unlikely to act.

Re: Help! Device Pin Blocked

and of course Etisalat is a partner with BlackBerry, so someone there certainly can get in touch with BlackBerry.
