Re: Hub Q

Yes, I know it doesn't work. I was on a plane yesterday. Airplane mode stops all network & wifi activity including phone calls, texting, sms, email etc....

I THINK turning it off in Hub settings is supposed to be what does the trick. Problem is............ it doesn't work!

Nothing works. dumb phone lol

It does work. You are not taking the time to actually read what I instructed above and too quick to just jump back and and say "it doesn't work".

It works. Smartphone.

Re: Hub Q

At the risk of suggesting another option if you go to Hub->settings->Email Accounts-><Mail account> ->Edit Account.
Scroll down then turn off push and set the sync interval to manual then click on save then this should have the effect you require without having to delete the account.
Reverse those two for when you are on a wi-fi connection.

The setting you are on about is just to make it not visible in the hub messages and is not what you are thinking it is.

Re: Hub Q

Good suggestion, although not all email setups have that "enable" push option, and even if it does, it may not disable the incoming mail. But worth a try for her.

Re: Hub Q

I did read. I believe you said to delete the account. I did that once before & lost everything,  When I put the acount back, I did not get back what went away... so I don't want to do that.

Thanks... that is now set & hopefully will work. How do I manually load them using this setting. Just hit Refresh when at my e-mail or can I only get them to come in by changing back ?  WHich is fine.. was just cuirous if Refresh would load them when set on Manual.  I'll test & see.

It should.

Sort of a silly use of a smartphone. If you jut turned off the view of that email in the Hub as mentioned and then used self restraint not to view that email tab, you wouldn't see that email. Instead, you're gonna (hopefully) get all that email dumped to you at one time.
