Keyboard problem

Hi, can anyone help me out with the keyboard as when i press the back space key on the keyboard it deletes all the text typed on the document.

 

Would really appreciate if anyone could help out ?

Are you experiencing this problem when you are composing a text  or BBM message? or when you are typing an email. In text and BBM, there is no return key, only available at this point in email?
