Mails sent from Z10 are not getting downloaded using POP 3

Hi,

I have just upgraded from BB 9360 to Z10, all the mails sent from the Z10 are not getting downloaded on PC, I use POP 3 setting to download messages. Mails deleted from Z10 are getting downloaded

Please let me know how to download mails sent from Z10

Mail sent from the handheld on a POP3 email server is not synced to the server.

You could upgrade to an IMAP account.

Any other option as I would prefer to keep copies of mail on my pc, so I would prefer pop 3. Also mails sent from PC are not seen on Z10

An IMAP account is the answer.

Why do you prefer POP3?

I have more mail on my pc than mail server, so i can keep server space free.

Ok. Sorry, that's just not how POP3 mail works.

Re: Mails sent from Z10 are not getting downloaded using POP 3

When you use smtp/pop servers and send receive from multiple devices you may wish to set your smtp settings to leave a copy of mail on server for X number of days.  This works for only received mail not sent.  When sending email through an smtp server the sent mail resides only on the device you sent it from not on the server (unless the mail server does archiving which is typically only done by businesses for legal reasons and this archive is not available for the user.)  You can sort of work around this by getting into the habit of CCing or BCCing yourself on each email you send.

CCing and Bccing is the only way out, as every thing works fine except downloading mails sent from Z10
