if BB Link  dosn't see the z10 when plugged in via USB, then your  system settings for the device might be turned on to USB mass storage.  

 

To do a manual security wipe, go to settings , selected security and privacy, Security wipe..

I had to do a hard reset. Did not have it backed up yet in BBLink,

 

It was relatively painles getting accounts and music files set up. DId take sometime though.

 

Hopefully it is not a regular occurence.

 

Backing up the unit on Link is key..

For me, I had several bugs and issues and slow downs the first two days I got the z10. I did a security wipe and installed the latest OS. My system runs super fast, no more bugs and very smooth.  Glad you are up and running.

Yes, after the security wipe the hub and everything else got fixed

That was my only way out of the issue.  Did not see any other solutions.

It will but you'll get the update option and this time the hub won't be missing
