lucky YOU :-)

mine is still not doing what it´s supposed to do

Voice note test works?

Battery pull reboot fails to resolve it.

What is your OS release on the device (Settings > About)?

Re: Microphone on Z10

My Z10 has the same problem.

When on call using the handset and not the headphones, the person on the other end cannot hear me. The voice is very meek and low.

I've tried battery pull, my OS is 10.0.10.85

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Charan

Charan, by chance please try this, while on a phone call, use the UP volume pressed to the full volume, and please see if that has ANY affect on your other end hearing your voice.

Are you using ANY case or skin on the Z10?

Re: Microphone on Z10

Charan, ALSO  >> You have your mobile phone number listed as your "My Mobile Provider" or carrier. Putting your phone number out on the internet on these public forums for the world to see, is not wise. To change that, at the top of this page click on My Settings > Personal Profile > Personal Information, and in the entry block for "Carrier" type the name of your mobile provider.

Re: Microphone on Z10

Thanks J for saving me from spams and scams! :smileyhappy:

Well, the up volume does not help at all and I dont have any skins or covers on my phone.

Back to square one :smileysad:

Thanks,

Re: Microphone on Z10

argh, I was hoping that might do something for you.

The battery pull should have (did you do the battery pull with the Z10 powered on or off?).

Re: Microphone on Z10

I did it with phone on!

I'm wondering what difference would it make but then again if its one of the permutations, I wouldnt mind doing it the other way.

Thanks,

Charan

Re: Microphone on Z10

Try a simple soft reboot... press the top edge button and then on the screen > restart device.

Re: Microphone on Z10

Hi,

my SW-Version is 10.0.10.90

so far there are no (regular) updates available.

Tried the Volume-UP-Key workaround without having any effect.

Also taking the battery out did not bring a resolution, wether having the phone on, or powering it off, before extracting the battery from the device.

A simple reboot also just did not help

What´s striking though is the fact, that everything was working well the first 2-3 days and ist still doing so, when I turn the call to the built in speaker.

I also tried to remember what I eventually might have changed in the settings and undo it, but that wasn´t sucessfully either.

BR´s

Paddy

Re: Microphone on Z10

Well folks sadly this is a hardware issue.

I just completed the painful process of reimaging my phone.

@Paddy: when you use the built in speaker, it uses the top mic and not the one below so thats what the problem is, the lower mic is no good.

Get your device replaced or send it in to your carrier to get it fixed.

Hope that helps.

Thanks,

Charan
