My Telus email on the Z10 will receive outside of WiFi but will not send unless I am in WiFi area

Email for all other accounts Re: Gmail and such will send and receive fine through the network but my Telus email will only receive outside of WiFi area.

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

 

Thanks for the question.

 

What error do you receive when you try to send an email an email?  Also if you go into Settings>Accounts and open the Telus email address, are the settings the same as this?

 

For POP use:

  • Incoming Mail Server: pop.telus.net
  • Port: 110
  • Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.telus.net
  • Port: 587

Note: Remove the SMTP Username and SMTP Password if they populate.


For IMAP use:

  • Incoming Mail Server: imap.telus.net
  • Port: 143
  • Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.telus.net
  • Port: 587

Note: Remove the SMTP Username and SMTP Password if they populate.

Thanks for the reply Ferret. I have it working now with:

IMAP use:

  • Incoming Mail Server: imap.telus.net
  • Port: 143
  • Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.telus.net
  • Port: 1025

Not sure why POP would never work but thanks again.

P.S. SMTP Port 587 would give me notice that port 587 does not support authentication. back to 1025 and all is well.
