I upgraded to the new software version, and today when sitting in my charging pod, it just stopped and nothing. Tried new batteris, cables, battery pulls, nada, zip.
Luckily I took out EE's insurance and I have another on the way to me tomorrow morning..

Yes, for another 12 hours or so, until the courier arrives with my new one.
First time this has happened, though only had it for 2 or 3 months.
Not sure if the new update had anything to do with it, just a coincidence. The EE support person was happy that I tried most things, different batteries, cables, battery pull, etc and no go.
