NO BLACKBERRY DATA PLAN

Hello.

 

Im having a problem with my new Blackberry Z10.

I shfited my old simcard which is activated in BBM Services, but in my new mobile blackberry, its not working.

I couldnt  set up the BBM coz it always says NO BLACKBERRY DATA. Please connect to the server and try again later.

 

I been calling my service provider and they said my services is activated and they told me to find Option and Advance Option and HOST ROUTING TABLE which i COULD NOT find.

 

Please help me. Im so excited to use my new BB Z10.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

That is interesting...you see, BB10 no longer requires a dedicated BB-level data plan from the carrier. They work just fine on a generic data plan, just like other SmartPhones now. Hence, there is no Host Routing table to update as there was in prior BB versions. Since they gave you advice related to pre-BB10 devices, it sounds like the agent you spoke with has not yet been trained on the BB10 device functions.

What I think you need to do is be positive that you, on the Z10, log into your existing BB ID account...this should properly shift all of your services over to your Z10, including your BBM registration (and contacts, if you had on your old device updated to BBM7).

You may want to WIPE your Z10 and start over. You may also want to be sure that your plan from your carrier supports both BB as well as generic data services (since generic is all that is required for BB10).
