Re: OS 10.1 killed the Z10

For me, the account stops at final stage that I am connected to a network but not to Internet.

Everything else is working and the account itself is working on my iPhone and iPad.

Re: OS 10.1 killed the Z10

"vespesian, you can call BlackBerry in Waterloo and argue that point all you want. This is not the place.
You're not helping anyone just to pop-in a thread and be argumentative."

Um, this is the place to provide peer-to-peer support. Part of that would be to point out inaccuracies promulgated by others, including "experts" such as yourself. BlackBerry has stated - both in official documentation and personal correspondence between myself and others - that battery pulls are no longer necessary...no need to "call Waterloo".

Officially where? Link?

I also wonder why you're choosing to argue this point. Do you not think I can back up what I'm saying here?

Here's the exact quote from one instance:

"A soft restart on the BlackBerry Z10 is done by pressing Power and choosing restart.  However some instances may require a hard restart which means removing the battery.

We suggest performing the soft restart as a first step."

Likewise, this past week I inquired of another BlackBerry tech advisor in person, face to face, one on one. He (and his name I won't post here) stated exactly the same, in as many words. This was at BBLive in Orlando.

You really want to keep arguing this point, offtopic in this thread?

Did someone p1$$ in your cereal this morning?

I hope we might get there... up in Message 8 I asked some questions.

It's hard to see with all the other garbage, and I am sorry about that.

Re: OS 10.1 killed the Z10

Can both of you team up (JSanders & Vespesian) and pose the question to an upper level Tech Specialist at BlackBerry HQ in Waterloo !! ...and then post the official reply please ??

I'm sure that I speak for many other new Z10 users. I would love nothing more than not have to perform battery pulls.

Do you get an error posted or anything like that you can stated here?

Re: OS 10.1 killed the Z10

I'm sorry for going back off-topic but If a hard reset by pulling the battery is sometimes required, then the upcoming Q5 would not have a non-removable battery.
