Re: POP3 and IMAP works the same?

Z10 has better security than iOS and Android? Yes.

Many people are returning their BB10 phones due to the lack of such features that blackberry is/was known for.   Encryption, secutity, push email and privacy.

If the security is better than IOS or Android, give some examples please?

Likely, they too are misled and/or relying on misinformation such as you've posted above.

With change, there will always be unhappy users and those who cannot/will not understand or adopt.

Re: POP3 and IMAP works the same?

Hi JSanders,

Thank You for the clarification on the POP3 and IMAP, thou this is not what I am expecting I have to deal with it, I am hoping that there will be more improvement on the later updates.

Since I have the mobile, I just need to maximize what it had and make it useful.

Cheers!

Re: POP3 and IMAP works the same?

Hi JSanders, I was expecting the same setup on previous BB email which saves a copy of the email on the phone so that even I move the email to another folder in the email server it is not affected. In other words inbox shouldn't be sync automatically but rather based on user decision.

Ok, understood. ActiveSync doesn't work that way, however..

Your device will mirror what's on your server. If you move an email message from the Inbox to FolderX, then that will be reflected on your server as well as on the device.

Re: POP3 and IMAP works the same?

I guess that's how the Z10 is program to do, but on my unit I can't see any other folder from my server, on our server emails are move monthly into monthly email folder (e.g. April 2013) and I have a lot of sub folder already which is not visible to Z10.

Re: POP3 and IMAP works the same?

You said above you've moved your mail to a POP server? No, you won't see folders and subfolders.

With an IMAP account you will. Or should.
