Before I embark on attempting to synch my boss's contacts on his Z10 by means of the new long-awaited USB cable method, I'm a little concerned that this MAY just add another batch of the couple of thousand contacts that I uploaded when we did the device-switch, rather than updating them.
I've therefore done a backup in the first instance.
However, I do want to make sure that - should the contact update go horrendously wrong! - the backup file has the information I need in it, and I can't seem to find any information on BlackBerry Link/website about what the sub-divisions listed under Backup (Application Data, Media , Settings) actually contain.
Is anybody able to confirm that emails and texts would indeed be included under one of those headings, and that it would be relatively straightforward to restore them if necessary?

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Thanks for the question.
If you created a full backup it will include contacts, SMS messages and all settings and you will have nothing to worry about if you needed to do a restore
