Resending E-mails

Hi there,

 

Hopefully someone can help me out with this.

 

Sometimes, when composing emails, and sending them, when I do not have any service to my phone, the email waits to be sent with the clock icon next to it, which is understandable due to the lack of connection. However, when I enter an area where I can get a connection to the mobile network, with data services turned on, the email still sits there and does not get sent, unless I have to go through the ball ache of having to re type the whole thing, or forward it.

 

So leading me back to the original question, I was wondering if perhaps someone knew whether there would be a resend button for email messages being created for a future update of the z10 software.

 

Any help or information would be much appreciated.

Yes, there is already a 'resend' option.

 

If I recall correctly, on the unsent email sitting idle, touch and hold that email > in the right side popup > Resend.

 

(I don't have one unsent at this moment to verify, but I know I have done that)

thanks so much for your response.

 

Unfortunately, I have already tried to do it this way, however no option to resend the email appears on the right side menu.

 

It isnt so much an issue for me, as I am always connected to the internet, however I work in IT, providing support to people within the company, and the sales director travels throughout the world, meaning the majority of the time he has a varying connection. It was him that noticed the issue initially and both my self and my manager have looked into it, but were unable to find anything.

 

If the resend button is non existant in this software version, (it was in the os 7 operating system) is there a posibility that there will be a future software release for it?

No, it's there, I've seen it. I just don't have an unsent email at this point to test.

 

So, try opening that unsent mail,. touch the three dots overflow icon at bottom right and see if you see the option.

 

Not disagreeing with you, but I know it's there, I've used it. I'll check later and try to test.

I apologise,

 I have found it, I was looking at the first menu you can get to, where you hold your finger on the email and it turns blue, I didnt actually open it first.
